PDC has been successfully implementing innovative approaches for the IRS Enterprise Digitalization and Case Management Office (EDCMO) on both Solution Challenge 6: Digitizing Paper Files (SCaaS) and Solution Challenge 10: Submission Processing Modernization (SPM). Mohawk-Phoenix has over 20 years in records management experience, processing up to 60 million records per year on some contracts. A staggering data point made even more astounding by the lack of even a single Contractor Deficiency Report (CDR) being issued over most short- and long-term contracts. This type of management and operational control just does not happen, but it is developed and nurtured by an organization intent on being Best in Class in any operation they perform. The Mohawk-Phoenix is just such a company, from top to bottom! Mohawk-Phoenix has managed multiple contracts and while doing so has managed to install a culture of excellence that is rarely achieved. In their desire to achieve excellence, Mohawk-Phoenix’s senior staff realized it would have to be a top-down and bottom-up effort. Starting by establishing processes for the identification of quality recruits and then hiring the best and most experienced personnel. The processes for managers and other positions in the company followed suit, until every employee was highly functioning for their level of assignment. By starting with the best employees and providing a workplace that provided them with the right level of worth for the effort they expended, the managers were able to keep most, if not all, of their teams intact on each successive contract.
